iPhone App Goes After Crimes-in-Progress
Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 7:39AM
These days, most cell phone users have at least a few ICE contacts picked out in case of an emergency.
A new iPhone app called IcePics takes the safety trend one step further by adding photos of a would-be assailant. As the company explains, anyone who suspects they are about to become a victim of kidnapping, rape, robbery or assault can simply point their iPhone at the suspicious person and push the IcePics button on their iPhone. IcePics will e-mail a picture of the assailant along with the GPS location of that photo right away to contacts pre-selected by the owner.
