NFL Going High-tech (to Charge You More)

Augmented reality is coming to a football game near you, reports NBC Sports.
The Eagles will begin embedding augmented reality technology into their tickets, in an attempt to bring even more excitement to the NFL experience (or to try to justify their high prices?). Eagle fans simply install an app on their smartphone and then pass the device over their ticket. The AR technology lets them unlock special video messages from different players.
“We are always trying to provide new features and experiences for our fans,” Eagles president Don Smolenski said in a release. “We think there’s a real wow factor when season ticket holders hold their smartphones over these tickets and watch them come to life, launching videos that showcase some of our fans’ favorite players.”
My two cents? Just charge $10 less for a ticket and $3 less for a beer. Fans will like that a lot more than talking tickets.
