Reading e-Books Just Got Easier and Cooler
Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 11:53AM Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology has improved e-book reading technology and made it even easier.
The Smart E-book System allows smartphone and tablet users to turn and flip through multiple pages of an e-book or cross-reference its contents, but unlike conventional e-book readers that require finger movements to be made on the display, the new technology recognizes finger touches and movements made on the device's bezel.
In addition, readers can skim through pages of an ebook using multiple fingers -- moving one page with one finger, two pages with two fingers and so on -- or by finger gesture speed and even by drawing the desired page number by finger on the screen.
