Google App Accesses Private Data Through Photos
Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 1:17PM
Coming soon: A Google app that accesses personal information, such as names, e-mails and phone numbers, from pictures of faces.
The good news: you have to check a box to agree to share such information.
Google's app works by searching through Facebook, Flikr and other social media sites to match faces with personal info.
Google knows to tread carefully with such technology though, as they've been pinched before over privacy concerns and there are dangerous implications of such technology. Surely, people do not want strangers to be able to access their information so easily.
