Techland has compiled the top seven robots that you can buy--right now. Or, just put them on your Christmas list for next year.

My favorite is Tankbot, shown above. For just $25, you can have an adorable, sophisticated DeskPet running around your office. It has both remote control mode (via an iPhone app) and autonomous mode. Although the remote control mode apparently drains the battery quickly, autonomous mode sounds fun: The bot uses infrared sensors to manuever around obstacles and detect walls.
