For a long time the "smartest guys in the room" looked down their noses at facial recognition and other computer vision technologies, stating that they just weren't ready for commercial use. But advances in search engines, new approaches to video processing, and new use cases are steadily eroding these myths through thought provoking real world applications unlike any imagined when these technologies were first concieved.
