High-resolution Image of Gulf Coast Oil Slick As Seen From Space

DigitalGlobe, a leading global provider of commercial, high-resolution, world imagery products and services, has released a high-resolution photo from the Gulf Coast oil slick as seen from space.

The Macondo oil well is still leaking almost 5,000 barrels per day into the Gulf of Mexico. Efforts to seal the leak, including the use of underwater robots, have been unsuccessful.

The slick is nearing the coast of Alabama and the Florida Panhandle.

Update: The Air Force Reserve has deployed  two  C-130 Hercules aircrafts with Modular Aerial Spray Systems to spray dispersant to break up the oil slick. The planes are from the 910th Airlift Wing, based in Youngstown, Ohio.

What I wouldnt give to have a debate with you about this.  You just say so many things that come from nowhere that Im pretty sure Id have a fair shot.  Your blog is great visually, I mean people wont be bored.  But others who can see past the videos and the layout wont be so impressed with your generic understanding of this topic.
