Man With Mind-controlled Prosthetic Arm Dies in Car Accident
Friday, October 22, 2010 at 7:45AM
Christian Kandlbauer lost both of his arms in an accident several years ago. Thanks to a specially-designed mind-controlled prosthetic arm, the 22-year-old Austrian had been able to drive his car since 2006 -- until a car accident on Tuesday sent him to the hospital. He died two days later.
Doctors say it's unclear whether the accident was caused by problems with Kandlbauer's mind-controlled robotic prosthesis.
Kandlbauer is thought to have been the first person in the world to receive a mind-controlled bionic arm.

thats horrible i would hate to think that it would be the robotic arms fault cause if hes the first there's just gonna be more and more robotics and might lead to more accidents related to this
Uh... Maybe don't drive cars if you've got robot arms? If I had a mind controlled bionic arm I'd be way too busy exploiting myself for money to even think about driving.
22 years old?...he was probably texting....
